Affected condition

  • Only affected 24V Kobalt packs with USB-C charging ports are included.
  • Hazard occurs when charging through USB-C while the battery is installed in yard equipment.
  • The CPSC notice supplies exact tool/kit/battery identifiers; non-USB-C replacement packs are different.

Required action

  • Stop USB-C charging while the pack is installed in yard equipment immediately.
  • Contact Greenworks through the official recall program for free replacement batteries and supplied updated instructions.
