DEWALT FLEXVOLT compatibility is directional

DEWALT says FLEXVOLT batteries power supported 20V MAX and 60V MAX tools. That does not mean an ordinary 20V MAX battery can run a 60V MAX-only tool.

Independent reference. ToolBattery is not a manufacturer or authorized service center. Model revision, region, condition and the latest manual may change the answer. Do not use an unapproved adapter or modified battery.

Understand the FLEXVOLT pack

DCB606 is a FLEXVOLT 20V/60V MAX battery. The system page explains how FLEXVOLT packs change operating voltage according to the supported tool. This is a property of the FLEXVOLT pack itself.

Do not reverse the rule

DCB205 is an ordinary 20V MAX pack. The FLEXVOLT system statement is not evidence that DCB205 powers a 60V MAX-only tool. The checker treats the two directions separately.

Check individual exceptions

A tool’s manual can narrow the general system rule. For a pair not named or supported by the available documents, the site reports unknown or conditional instead of a broad yes.
